He was arrested at the age of 15 since 1953 and released in 2021, this is the crime he committed

Greetings, dear readers. I hope you are all doing well, thanks to God's mercy and grace. Please, if you are a new visitor, take a moment to click on the follow button to receive all of the latest trending updates on this site.

My sweetest website is back to bring you another true life story of a man who was imprisoned at the age of 15 and released in 2021, just as we have done in the past. Please sit back and enjoy your popcorn or whatever you can find to keep you reading. I am confident that after reading this article, you will have learned a valuable moral lesson.

This life is extremely brief, and every second we spend here is extremely valuable. On the 20th of February, 1953, a 15-year-old boy named Joseph Ligon joined his classmates at a party. They became inebriated and made a decision that would have long-term consequences for their lives.

Because they were intoxicated, they ended up robbing and stabbing a total of eight people that night. Two of the victims lost their lives, and the remaining victims were severely injured. The result of this was that Joseph Ligon was apprehended and brought to trial, where he pled guilty to the charges against him. Following his guilty plea, he was sentenced to mandatory life imprisonment, which he regrettably received. In February of 1953, he was sentenced to prison.

He was deprived of his entire childhood and spent the majority of his adult life behind bars. He had been sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison, but something happened in 2017 that changed everything. After nearly seven decades in prison, he was eligible for parole, which meant he would be allowed to spend a period of time outside the prison before returning. However, Joe Ligon chose not to accept the parole offer because he believes that, even if he is released from prison, he will never want to see the inside of a prison again, making it better for him to remain in prison rather than leave and return later.

He claimed that he had spent far too many years in prison and that he would rather be released for a period of time and then returned or be supervised for the rest of his life. As a result, he declined the offer. After 68 years in prison and believing that he would die in prison after being sentenced to life imprisonment, Joseph Ligon received a miraculous intervention from God in the form of a new life in the prison. After his attorney won the case in 2020, he refused to give up on the Joseph Ligon case and continued to fight until the end.

Joseph Ligon will be released from prison in 2021. (this year) After he was released, he expressed his desire for others to benefit from his experience, stating that he now feels like a foreigner in this world because everything has changed for him. He has been in prison since the twentieth century and was released in the twenty-first century; a great deal has changed, and he will have to learn how to survive all over again.

Joseph Ligon is currently 84 years old and is the longest-serving prisoner in the United States of America.

What I have taken away from this story is that we should be aware of our limits and avoid doing things in excess that could put us in danger.

What else have you taken away from this experience? Let's see what you've learned from this experience in the comments section below.

Please remember to share this with your friends, like it on Facebook, and subscribe to this blog for more updates.

Good News For All Electricity Users in Nigeria As Presidency Gives New Update

The issue of electricity supply is obviously one of the pressing issues in the country. Most times it's not a case of absence of light. There are cases of people who have had their homes cut off from electric power because they have not been able to make payment for it.

There are people who claim that the estimated bill being charged is high, and because of this they couldn't pay for Electricity. This is one of the advantage of the Prepaid meter system. This system doesn't involve estimated bills, all that is required is for you to purchase a certain amount of power and recharge it on the meter to have electricity running in your home.

There are lots of people who have not been able to secure the Prepaid Meter. The good news is, the presidency made an announcement last night on Twitter. It was about the disbursement of funds to procure thousands of Meters under the national mass metering programme(NMMP). Remember that back in November 4, 2020, the President announced that funding would be made for distribution companies to roll out meters.

It appears that it has been put into action. In the tweet made last night by the Presidency, it was revealed that 14.35billion has been disbursed to the distribution companies in the country for the procurement of 263,860 meters. Check out the Tweet bel

Schools Resumption: An Open Letters To all Primaries,Secandry,Universities And Polytechnic Students

Welcome to my page, kindly click on the follow button beside my media to receive notifications on the latest hotlists, trending topics, and breaking news

I'm so glad the Federal Government doesn't change the date for resumption for all schools across the country. The date of resumption is set for Monday 18 January 2021.

But the Federal Government aims to amend the date of resumption of the pandemic virus in all Nigerian campuses, Covid-19. Especially these days, the pandemic virus cases are growing more than expected.

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has typically reported more than 1500 cases of the deadly virus, which is quite bad for all Nigerians and can indeed adversely affect our businesses.

Whilst all the Nigerian students are keen to resume school, particularly in the final, because they have spent more than 10 months at home. While several students have used this opportunity to practice some handwork and skills.

Many Nigerians were pleased after the schools declared their date of resumption, indeed some could not express their feelings.

Recall that NUC has announced the Federal Government via the National University Commission Office

The National University Commission (NUC) has also instructed all public universities to ensure that the Covid-19 guidelines are adhered to.

In this respect, all Nigerian students should take note of the following,

1. All public university students should remember that, as directed by the national university commission, they begin their semester again (NUC).

2. All Nigerian students should pray hard because the Federal Authority is highly likely to enforce full lock-up at all times

3. All students of Nigeria should follow the NCDC Covid-19 guidelines.

4. All students of Nigeria should aspire to learn some useful future skills and hands as much as possible.

Finally, I sincerely hope that all Nigerian students and schools can find their way in this letter.

Baba Gana Umara Zulum His Provide Patrol Vehicles For Civilian JTF

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has promised to provide the Civilian JTF with petrol vehicles and other needs to secure communities in the state.

The governor cut short his visits to Abuja and Katsina, due to last weekend’s killings in six communities of the state.

According to him, the terrorists killed five people and torched several houses, police stations, and churches.

He said thousands of bags of farm produce recently harvested by farmers were also looted by the terrorists.

“Several shops and market stalls were looted, before torching them,” he added.

While addressing Yamirshika and Shaffa residents on Sunday, he said: “We departed Abuja to Maiduguri on Sunday morning. We are here to show sympathy and to stand with all of you in Hawul over the sad incident that occurred last night.

“I have been fully briefed and seen things for myself. By God’s will, we’re to strengthen security here and other affected communities. We will immediately provide you with basic needs of life; based on my interactions with security stakeholders and community leaders.”

He pledged to rebuild all the shops, police stations, and other infrastructure destroyed before the rains set in.

“As enshrined in section 14, 2b of the 1999 constitution, security of life and property remains the cardinal objective of any government.

“We shall remain resilient and focused in our search for peace in Borno,” he said.

The governor explained that he cut short his visit to Zulum community to strengthen “community resilience with support to local volunteers supporting the security agencies to restore peace.”

He, therefore, pledged six patrol vehicles to the Civilian JTF, vigilantes, and hunters; including the distribution of relief materials to the affected residents.

His deputy, Umar Kadafur; Sen. Mohammed Ndume (Borno South) and the Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR), Mustapha Gubio; and his Agriculture counterpart, Bukar Talba, were on the communities’ assessment of the destroyed property.

An Open Letter To All Students Over The Resumption Of School Activities In January.

Good day everyone,

I write this letter to all students in respect to the resumption of school activities in the January.

It is no more news that the federal government have asked all schools to remain closed until the 18th of January. This has been because of the increase in reported cases of the corona-virus.

All students should note that the closure of schools by the federal government was done inorder to protect students against the deadly corona-virus.

The federal government might choose to increase the lockdown period placed on schools if the corona-virus cases still increases in January.

Whatever decision the federal government will take in January regarding the resumption of schools, all students should accept it.

As a Nigerian, if you have anything to say, visit the comment section below and say it.

Insecurity: Reps drop Buhari invitation, apologise to Presidency

The House of Representatives is no longer keen on inviting President Muhammadu Buhari to address it on the security challenge in the country, The Nation gathered authoritatively on Saturday.

The House leadership, according to sources, found that the initial invitation had assumed ethnic and political dimension.

It was also learnt that some of the lawmakers behind the motion to invite Buhari had apologised to the Presidency.

They claimed that their motion was not intended to embarrass the President, contrary to insinuations in some quarters.

Some members had sponsored a motion to seek the urgent intervention of the Presidency following the recent killing of 48 farmers in Zabamari, Borno State.

Those who demanded action were Hon. Ahmed Satomi, Hon. Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Hon. Zainab Gimba, Hon. Muktar Betara, Hon. Mallam Bukar Gana, Hon. Haruna Mshelia, Hon. Ahmadu Usman Jaha, Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Bukar, Hon. Usman Zannah and Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis.

But Ahmadu Usman Jaha said the prayer to invite the President was omitted from the motion read on their behalf by Ahmed Satomi.

The motion to invite Buhari was later adopted by the House, leading to a follow up audience with the President by its leadership.

Although the President initially agreed to appear before the National Assembly, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), said the House lacked the power to summon the President.

The Senate leadership also sharply disagreed with the House and rejected moves to ask the President to address a joint session of the National Assembly.

Despite the legal opinion of the AGF and political stand of the Senate, the Presidency has not been forthcoming on what becomes of the invitation of the President.

Findings by our correspondent however revealed that the House decided to foreclose the invitation following what a source described as the body language of the Presidency.

The source said apart from disagreement between the two chambers, the invitation assumed ethnic and political dimensions in the House.

Some of those behind the motion were shocked at the political colouration given to it.

The House leadership was alleged to have a hidden agenda on the motion with a view to undermining President Buhari.

It was learnt that the invitation was almost sliding into a North-South divide, especially over security reports that the opposition lawmakers wanted to use the invitation to embarrass Buhari.

A principal officer said: “The House of Representatives has foreclosed or dropped any immediate or future plans to invite President Muhammadu Buhari over insecurity in the country because a harmless motion has become political.

“I can tell you that we will no longer revisit the invitation. But we will be interacting with Service Chiefs and other ministers in charge of the nation’s security.

“The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its lawmakers capitalised on the motion to cast aspersions on the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. What we never intended became the issue.

“Some governors and strategists in government insinuated that the House leadership was working for a different political interest. That was why they pulled the strings from the Senate.

“At a point, the row over the invitation was turned into a North-South divide if not for the political dexterity of the House leadership.

“We also got intelligence that some of those  lawmakers who sponsored the motion because of Zabamari rice farmers went through the back door to the Presidency to apologise over their insistence that the President must appear before the National Assembly.”

Good News For Nigerians Student's As ASUU Suspends Strike

THE Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has finally suspended its strike.

The union announced the suspension of the 9-month old industrial action at a press conference held Wednesday morning in Abuja.

ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, who led other National Executive Committee of the union to the event where he made the announcement, explained that the suspension takes effect from today, Wednesday 23, 2020.

The decision to suspend the action, according to Ogunyemi, followed the resolution to that effect by NEC at its meeting held earlier.

Details coming shortly…

School resumption:it's more 4th January, look at the new date declared by the government

A lot of schools if not all has vacated for the Christmas holiday in accordance to the academic calender of the year.

School managements have also informed the teachers, students, and parents on the new resumption date so everyone will get prepared to become active after the holiday is over.

The last announcement has it that schools are to resume on the 4th of January 2021 for the continuation of the 2020/2021 academic session. But the latest announcement by the government changed the course of it all.

School managements, teachers, students and parents should note that the Nigeria government has ordered the closure of all schools in the country until January 18, 2021.

This announcement is in accordance to the briefing by the chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

This measure is to ensure the safety of students as the virus is fast spreading and claiming lives all over the world. The government loves education but considers the lives of it's citizens more important because they won't be any learning without life.

This therefore cancels any resumption regarding to 4th of January. All resumption begins from 18th of January 2021.

Reactions As Gov. Zulum Visited NIMC Registration Center, And He's Addressed Citizens

The governor of Babangana Umaru Zulum of Borno state is truly a great Leader. He worth a great immunity and respect from people of Maiduguri and Nigeria at large.

What has caused a national disturbances in the country is the recent directives the federal government made, that all Nigerians should Link their sim cards with their national identity card.

Seriously, I will suggest that the government at all levels should endeavor to create more places where an ordinary man can easily accessed it. Do you imagine how the directives can affect the less privileges, especially people who finds it difficult to survive yet, most of them have no national identity card.

It was recently disclosed by north east reporters on their official facebook timeline that "the executive governor of Borno state Professor Babangana Umaru Zulum at NIMC headquarters, while Addressing the citizens gathered at the headquarters to obtain their national identity cards. He said the state government will discuss with federal government to extend the two weeks duration and make it accessible to the communities so that everyone can obtain the national identity card."

See attached screenshot below are the Reactions of commentators:

Indeed, this are leaders Nigerians will always love. Someone who has the mind to fight for the Masses. I respect his efforts. No one will be happy to hear that the stipulated weeks given, the sim card used are blocked because of lack of national identity card. Like the recent outcry in Lagos that many people who occupied the registration center in state, firstly, the covid-19 pandemic cases are gradually increasing and secondly, the Protest that affected many people. Don't you think are enough Reasons to get a peaceful atmosphere before the registration commence? Gathering of masses in a place like that can contribute to insecurity and other subversive elements that can destroy our internal peace. Only God knows what the people who were in the registration centers to get there national identity card when through.

What is your opinion in this regards, do you support the linking of sim card with National identity card? Let's interact more in the comments section. You can share, like and follow me for more updates and information please.

Nigerians cry out over new security outfit ‘NDLEA SWAT’

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to cry out over a new security outfit called ‘ NDLEA SWAT’ which seems to be operating on highways in the country.

Some Nigerians who shared photos of the security operatives queried authorities on why they are on the road with guns and searching peoples phone.
