A lot of schools if not all has vacated for the Christmas holiday in accordance to the academic calender of the year.
School managements have also informed the teachers, students, and parents on the new resumption date so everyone will get prepared to become active after the holiday is over.
The last announcement has it that schools are to resume on the 4th of January 2021 for the continuation of the 2020/2021 academic session. But the latest announcement by the government changed the course of it all.
School managements, teachers, students and parents should note that the Nigeria government has ordered the closure of all schools in the country until January 18, 2021.
This announcement is in accordance to the briefing by the chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.
This measure is to ensure the safety of students as the virus is fast spreading and claiming lives all over the world. The government loves education but considers the lives of it's citizens more important because they won't be any learning without life.
This therefore cancels any resumption regarding to 4th of January. All resumption begins from 18th of January 2021.
