Good News For All Electricity Users in Nigeria As Presidency Gives New Update

The issue of electricity supply is obviously one of the pressing issues in the country. Most times it's not a case of absence of light. There are cases of people who have had their homes cut off from electric power because they have not been able to make payment for it.

There are people who claim that the estimated bill being charged is high, and because of this they couldn't pay for Electricity. This is one of the advantage of the Prepaid meter system. This system doesn't involve estimated bills, all that is required is for you to purchase a certain amount of power and recharge it on the meter to have electricity running in your home.

There are lots of people who have not been able to secure the Prepaid Meter. The good news is, the presidency made an announcement last night on Twitter. It was about the disbursement of funds to procure thousands of Meters under the national mass metering programme(NMMP). Remember that back in November 4, 2020, the President announced that funding would be made for distribution companies to roll out meters.

It appears that it has been put into action. In the tweet made last night by the Presidency, it was revealed that 14.35billion has been disbursed to the distribution companies in the country for the procurement of 263,860 meters. Check out the Tweet bel
