The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) is taking a new face as the commission is now paying attention to all the telecommunications companies in the country. 

Owing to the recent insecurity in the country, this action became necessary as it might go a long way in fishing out perpetrators of certain evil acts in the country. 

The commission is seeking for an avenue to audit all registered sin in the country in other to ensure there is no foul play by all the telecommunications companies. 


According to our source, In a letter seen by TheCable, the commission announced that it be embarking on an audit of the subscriber registration database in the country.

In a statement made by the commissions' chairman “In accordance with the federal government directive to consolidate the achievement of the SIM card registration exercise and verify compliance, the commission is embarking on an audit of the subscriber registration database to ensure compliance to set quality standards and requirements,” 

the letter was signed by A.I. Sholanke, NCC director for projects, read.

Indeed, Nigerians deserve nothing less than the best, this should ensure that there are no loopholes in the telecommunications' industry.

“In case your sim card is yet to be registered, well, you might not be opportune to use it for long anymore. NCC has suspended the sale and activation of new SIM cards to allow an audit of the Subscriber Registration Database” Source: punchng
