We all have that special someone or set of persons with whom we feel free and communicate with easily. They are people we know right from birth, At school, At church, At work or just from our neighbourhood and we hold dear to our hearts. How we classify someone as our friend is what most people don't know.
Who Is A Friend?
According to my own observation a friend is a person other than a family member, spouse or lover whose company one enjoys and towards whom one feels affection. Another definition says; "A friend is a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations."
What Is The Key To Maintaining Quality Relationships, Especially In Today’s Hurried World?
According to Karol Ladd in THE POWER OF A POSITIVE WOMAN: “If you want to have friends, you must show yourself friendly.”
For you to call or classify someone as your friend he/she must be willing to do the following things for you. And yes, it goes both ways, you will also need to do these for other so you too can become their friend.
F- Fight For You
R- Respect You
I- Include You
E- Encourage You
N- Need You
D- Deserve You
