How often do you update your diary for storing important phones numbers? I guess, not constant enough. You, as a business person might not want to lose your customers contacts and that's why you bought that special book for penning down their numbers incase you lose your mobile phone, but since those numbers requires you to write them down and can't save automatically, you might sometimes forget or get too busy.

Don't worry, in this article you will learn how to save those contacts automatically in an online platform and get them back anytime any day even if you lose your phone and Sim Card. Also don't worry about the saving as your phone will do that automatically on its own. Cheers!

Note: you will need at least an android phone to enable this function.

Thank God for service providers, you can always do "welcome back" to recover your lost phone number but not the saved contacts, so with this article you will have nothing else to worry about because you will be able to recover your contacts.

All You Need To activate this is a Google mail account and App (Gmail), Download from Play Store.

After that, sign in with your email address (make sure it's Gmail address), create one if you don't have any.

After you must have signed in/up successfully on the Gmail App, turn on "Automatic Sync". To do this: go to your phone settings, click on "accounts" then 'Google' and you will see options for sync turn it on. Go to the Gmail App, click on the menu button and visit the settings to turn on automatic sync.

That's all you need to startup this process. Then to store your contacts on Google so that you can always recover them back even on a new phone without your Sim card, always save your contacts on your Gmail address.

Let me explain it clearly. Remember that if you want to save a new number in your phone it will show you options whether to save to Sim 1, Sim 2 or Phone.

But once you follow the procedure above, your phone will now add your email address to that option, so now, if you want to save a new contact your phone will list this options for you:

Save To

Google (eg pidginreporters@gmail.com)

Sim 1

Sim 2

Phone

So choose "Google" and your email address as the directory to store the phone number.

Note: it's only contacts you choose to save in Google (email address) that you can recover back after you lose your Sim card and phone. I advise that you save all your existing contacts again to Google in other to be able to recover them back.

How to access and recover your contacts back into your new phone after you lose your old phone and Sim. It's very easy and straightforward.
