Africa as a continent is actually going through a lot right now. Underdevelopment has plagued the whole continent, and only a few countries can boldly say they're progressing at large in Africa. Most countries are stricken with poverty, plagued by bad leaders, and nothing is improving.
Nigerians have been protesting against police . for about 2 weeks now, with a lot of people killed in the course of the protests, a lot of properties have also been vandalised with a lot of people rendered homeless. Whole Nigerians have been able to call global attention to what is going on in the country through internet, some other countries in the continent are also going through a lot, or maybe even worse than Nigeria, and they're not gaining global attention.
According to reports; in DR Congo, there is a silent holocaust going on, with a lot of citizens been killed because of their excessive natural resources. Not just that, Congo is very rich in Cobalt, which is used to power gadgets, used for iPhones, Samsung phones and more. In lieu of this, children are being exploited to mine the cobalt in Congo, and their been paid next to nothing as they suffer.
Also, In Kenya, kids are being exploited in gold mines, instead of going to school. This is jeopardizing both the present and future of the country.
